About the Presenter

Captain Bill Bongle (ret.) is a 29-year police veteran and technology consultant.  Bill is a subject matter expert in the field of Community Oriented and Problem Oriented Policing. As founder of Innovative Policing Solutions, he conducts training for police agencies and has presented at conferences throughout the U.S. and the U.K.

Bill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Criminal Justice from Concordia University. He has extensive training and experience in alcohol regulation, landlord tenant law, crime analysis, nuisance abatement, Community Oriented Policing, Problem Oriented Policing and leadership.

Bill coauthored the presentation, “Street Sweeping, Broadway Style” which won the Herman Goldstein Award for excellence in Problem Solving. He has also implemented a number of initiatives including: customer service awards, the “no serve list” for chronic alcohol abusers, Green Bay’s chronic nuisance program, the Armadillo Nuisance Abatement vehicle and the Green Bay Police Department’s social media presence.
